Welcome

This site is dedicated to musicians, hosting venues, recording and production professionals and other music-related talent and service providers who participate in and support the JamDawg music program in their local community. The JamDawg mission statement "Musical Philanthropy At Its Finest" encapsulates the purpose of the JamDawg initiative in bringing together Intermediate to Advanced musicians who have the desire to network and perform with other like-minded individuals in a LIVE public venue and in other arenas such as professional recording and production. There are NO FEES associated with being involved in the JamDawg program as everything is FREE and there are many opportunities presented to those who subscribe.

CURRENT EVENTS

The Jamdawgs in association with MUSIC MATTERS and Music Aid Northwest has partnered to help support school music programs through sales of a distinctive new license plate, to be available through the Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL). These special license plates will be available to purchase by every car owner in Washington State. The Washington State Department of Licensing requires that we have at least 3500 signatures from registered vehicle owners in order to initiate the project. The JamDawg Organization will continue to support the Music Matters initiative in perpetuity with a variety of events in an ongoing effort to fund music in our local communities here in the state of Washington. Have a visit to the Music Matters site at www.musicplates.org to learn more.

*NEW: Check out the new Collages Registry when you sign in.

*JamDawg Rock n' Blues Jam at The Wilde Rover Irish Pub & Restaurant in the heart of Kirkland every Tuesday 8:30pm - 11:30pm. 111 Central Way, Kirkland WA. 425.822.8940. This jam currently rotates the host band every week and for Tuesday June 30, 2009 it's the Bruce Koenigsberg & Friends!  For the VERY FIRST TIME we have a host band lineup comprised solely of loyal JamDawg supporters with Paul Spitalny on guitar and vocals, Kirk Marvin on harmonica and vocals, Bruce Koenigsberg on bass and vocals, Bill Harris on keyboard and Charlie McDowell on drums. As we start to populate host bands with regular jammers the rotation of host bands will become greater, and BETTER!

*NEW REGISTRY SECTIONS: The "Original Artist" and "Recording Sessions" sections for professionals in the recording industry have now been integrated into the JamDawg site.

ORIGINAL ARTISTS: This section is dedicated to musicians who have written and composed their own original music who would like to submit to the JD organization for consideration to perform their works at a JamDawg jam. Original artists will also be considered on a bi-annual basis as candidates to receive a FREE recording session to record their best composition in a professional recording studio. If you are interested in performing your original material at a JamDawg jam as well as introduce your music to other registered resources at the JD site then simply REGISTER at the site (must be Intermediate to Advanced in skill level/quality) and upload an MP3 of your work.

RECORDING SESSIONS: This section is dedicated to musicians, recording studios, producers, engineers and other music industry professionals who are looking for specific talent for recording purposes. As a registered member you will be introduced to resources in this sector of the music industry.

Other Registry sections such as General Audience Registry (for all those JamDawg fans and customers out there!) as well as a Technical Resources Registry for sound, lights and staging now have their own dedicated sections.

*NOTE: Registered users can be in a variety of registries depending on how their profiles are completed. Where a musician is also a technical resource for sound or lights, has a recording studio for hire and is also a songwriter then that user would be in four (4) of the registries, including the Entire Directory registry.

ALERT: Visit the FORUMS section for special notices and posts in specific areas!
